About HopDrop
Short (one paragraph)
HopDrop is a shared grocery list, pantry and to-do app for households, on iPhone and Android. Bought items restock a pantry that knows what’s already at home, recipes come from what you have, and shared to-dos link to their own shopping lists.
Long
HopDrop is the shared grocery list, pantry and to-do app for the whole household, available on iPhone and Android in 25 languages. Instead of tapping checkboxes, users drag items to “Got it” or “We’re out”: bought items restock a pantry split into fridge, freezer and pantry, and anything that runs out is saved for the next list — so the household always knows what’s already at home. HopDrop suggests recipes from what’s in the pantry, including ideas just one ingredient away, and its shared to-do lists link to grocery lists, so finishing the shopping completes the task. Lists sync live across every phone in the house, work offline, and never show ads. HopDrop launched in July 2026 and is free to start.

Story angles
Maple, the family organizer, closes on December 31, 2026. HopDrop’s shared to-dos and grocery lists give its families somewhere to go.
Who notices the milk is gone, who remembers to buy it, who checks what’s already in the fridge — HopDrop spreads that across the whole household instead of one person’s head.
Link a shopping list to a task like “Buy groceries for the party”: the first item bought marks it in progress, and finishing the shopping completes it.
iPhone and Android in the same home, 25 languages including right-to-left, and no ads on any plan.
